Cloud Services Sales and FinOps Analyst


We are actively seeking an experienced Cloud Services Sales and FinOps Analyst, in either Auckland or Wellington, to help transform the way customers purchase, manage, and optimise IT services as they adopt cloud technologies. The main priorities when carrying out this role are:

  • working with Group sales people and cloud vendors to maximise cloud opportunities, revenues and GP,
  • ensure our partnership status is in line with business requirements,
  • working with customers on usage reporting, monthly billing, and cost optimisation initiatives, and
  • working with internal teams to build and maintain partner connections to cloud technical specialists as needed (for the likes of AWS and Azure) to ensure OSS Group is working to best practice.

 

In this role, you will enjoy a mix of:

  • Driving cloud growth (customers and revenues)
  • Relationship building  with key partners and clients, maintaining cloud partnership status
  • Client onboarding
  • Cloud billing, optimisation and reporting
  • Identifying funding opportunities for new business and incentive opportunities through partners
 

Skills and Experience

The Cloud Services Sales and FinOps Analyst will have public cloud familiarity to intermediate level for AWS and Azure, will be highly numerate, and will be proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook etc). The role requires specific understandings in three core areas:

  • Cloud services and commercial understanding
  • Cloud analytics tool landscape, and specific functions and capabilities of tools used by OSSG and our customers
  • Internal and external commercial processes relating to the reconciliation of IT Public Cloud Platforms

 

Successful candidates will have:

  • At least 5 years of technology experience in corporate and enterprise environments
  • 2 years of experience implementing cloud cost management or cloud architecture programs
  • Solid knowledge of cloud services, commercial practices, and cloud financial tools (such as CloudHealth)
  • In-depth knowledge of preparing and reviewing contracts and invoicing

  • Strong oral and written English communication skills, including the ability to produce high-quality technical documentation
  • Organised and methodical working style
  • Understanding of the big picture, and attention to detail where required
  • Ability to work independently, and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Willingness to travel occasionally
  • NZ citizenship or an appropriate NZ work permit
